I am Pinaki Babar.

My art has always been my identity. It is like my shadow. It follows my thoughts, my work, and my way of perceiving things in life. Since childhood, I have always indulged myself in some of the other forms of art. Being an artist in Pune, how could I not do theatre? So, during my graduation, I was a part of my college art circle and I did theatre. Being among different artists, musicians, dancers, actors, etc. was a very fulfilling experience. Theatre gives a completely different perceptive in your thoughts, I believe. You become more sensitive and empathetic towards people, situations, or social issues around you which helps you grow as an artist. The most wonderful art form that I learned there was sand art and I have been doing it for the past 3 years now. During my last year, I handled the whole cultural team, I was the financial head of the cultural committee, managed backstage, did live onstage paintings, designed costumes, was the makeup artist of the team, performed live sand art, and designed the set for our winning play “Rakas” in the most prestigious intercollege competition- ‘Firodiya Karandak’ which is a multi-artform showcasing theatre competition and won individual first prizes for both set designing and makeup. The theme of our play was tribal hence the whole setting, costumes, makeup had to look authentic and elegant to keep the audience adhered.Meticulo designs was started just as an Instagram page to showcase my art. Meticulo-derived from the word meticulous-means with utter sincere efforts towards the details. And I got a very good response for my work there. Starting a business was never a plan. During the lockdown, however, I got a chance to take it seriously and work on it. My mom and dad happen to be doctors and during the lockdown, people faced problems approaching the clinics and medical facilities. My mom and I were discussing that she needed a solution so that patients could reach out to her more effectively and vice versa. That’s where the thought began. I prepared a digital interactive card for her and she had a wonderful experience with it. A few days later, a domestic help who comes to my house was worried because she had lost all her jobs and she couldn’t even approach new places to ask for work. So I gave her a similar card. And that’s where it hit me that there are so many people and businesses out there who are facing problems. During the pandemic, the complete economy has fallen and small businesses are the worst hit. We have unknowingly been shifted to the digital ecosystem and it is the need of the hour to have a strong digital presence and I felt the need to help people out by not just creating awareness about digitalization but also providing real solutions that they can use. This is where the journey began. The products should be lucid yet effective so that anyone can use them. I learned about getting more and more functionalities to my products and services and improve interactivity. Having an artistic eye helped me in creating aesthetically appealing designs. The way we do weddings, or apply for jobs, or do business is changed now. So, I widened my scope and came up with eight more such products that could be beneficial to all the sectors. And this is how Meticulo designs started with making Customized Interactive Digital business cards, wedding cards, invitation cards, greeting cards, marriage biodata, brochures, and resumes. These can be used by literally anyone and everyone. That’s what my tagline says-“Anyone. Everyone.” These are contactless hence 100% germfree, ecofriendly, and most importantly interactive- you can navigate to numerous functionalities like social media accounts, phone numbers, websites, youtube channels, and many more instead of manually searching to all these places separately. Also, you can save the information on your phones and use them whenever you want with just a click instead of piling traditional cards, you don’t even remember where. The pandemic has rebooted our lives and it is extremely important to upgrade ourselves and our businesses to fit in. We all need a total identity upgrade. I am very glad that I can help people. This is just the start and I will keep learning more and more, and use my knowledge and creativity to improve the lives of people.
